Festival of Colors!

Every year in Spanish Fork the Hindu Temple puts on the Festival of Colors. This year I went down with Shelby and Alyssa and their friends. We left logan late friday night, and stayed at Kristen's house. Now any normal people first of all wouldn't have left at 12:30 am, second of all wouldn't have gone hot tubbing soon after arriving, and third wouldn't have then started a movie, resulting in going to bed at 430 am. Haha But we aren't normal, we are college students, and we are going to a festival where you throw chalk at each other.

Before the festival, with clean shirts!

I ran into these old wardies!

and Amanda from work!

I have the greatest friends!!

Happy Birthday Liz!!

On Monday I went out with Alisha and Liz, to celebrate Liz's birthday. We had great fun catching up, and laughing.
I think Liz is the greatest. We had such great fun freshman year. We didn't know each other before coming up to school, and we just randomly paired together. I can't tell you how many nights we stayed up laughing and doing crazy things. She is such a strong girl with an amazing testimony, and is such a great example to me!  Love you girl!!

Love you girl!

Death to the Pants!

So in my sewing class we are starting our pants project. Last monday, we got to class ready to start the pants, and our teacher announced that she was going out of town, and would be gone for a week. Here's the catch, our pants were due in two weeks!! AHHHH! (insert frustration!) So that week, I came in every day after class to see what I could do on my project. The tricky part was that I had to alter my pattern to fit me exactly, and then make a pair out of muslin, and then my final fabirc. It was going to be an adventure for sure.

After a week of trying, and looking for people in logan that could help me, I decided at the last minute that I had to go home and get some help, so that I would be able to complete my project. I went home early saturday morning and I sewed all day long! Seriously! We started around 1030, took a break during the game, and to watch tangled, and sewed until 1 in the morning. AH! and More sewing on sunday too! oh MY!

These directions were confusing, or I'm just dumb.

My shorts out of muslin, I was ready to shred them.

My frustration

We even continued to sew during the BYU game!
GO COUGS!!
So this is what they looked like, almost to the end. Once I got back to school I just needed to hem them, and sew on the hook and eye. YAY

Oh and while, I was stumped, I worked on my quilt. I'm so excited to finish it, Yay! Its going to be so cute, and I can't wait to get started on my next one too. :) I have found a new passion.

Spring Break

I can't tell you how much I needed a break from school. It was so great to get out of logan and to take a break from school and work. This week has been crazy trying to get caught up and focus on school again.
My classes ended up being canceled on thursday and friday, so i got work off and headed out thursday morning.

Ally and I had lunch with Aunt Marlene and then I took Ally to the airport.

Out to Dinner!
On friday I was off to St. George with Kamille, Heidi, Torie and Becca. We just laid around by the pool and the condo. It was great fun. All we did was watch the OC, eat, and read our books.

On monday we went to Las Vegas for the day
Yay for the Backseat!

Happy to be where its warm and with friends, and frozen yogurt

Two of my favorite things.

I finally made it to the Effile Tower! Ha, I wish!

I love this picture! We are all so great! HAHA

Well St, George and Vegas were great, and I spent the rest of the week doing stuff around Utah County.

I went to the Carl Bloch exhibit at BYU, It was great, really powerful.

I went to breakfast with my Kneaders Ladies, It was go great to see them and to catch up. (reminder to take a picture next time)

I went to dinner with these two. I love them so much! It makes me sad that we only see each other maybe twice a year. :(  (also another reminder to take another picture, and next time we will all wear makeup and not be fried. haha)

I also went to our families Cattle Sale in Spanish Fork, and went to my cousin's play at BYU. It was a fabulous spring break, and there are only 7 more weeks of school.
