MISSION!

Over the break (when we went to Idaho for Braden's farewell) I had the chance to talk to my Aunt Tiffany about her mission experience, why she went, how she got her answer and her different experiences while she was gone.
It was amazing. I had been thinking about a mission roughly, but knew that my birthday was far away so i didn't have to start worrying about it for a while. Well after hearing how Tiff got her answer and hearing her experiences. I decided to read my patriarchal blessing to see if it could give me some direction. Well what i read led me to pray and ponder about what I should do. The following Sunday I was sitting in Relief Society and we were talking about the Book of Mormon and our testimony's and sharing it with others. I got my answer. I have a responsibility to share my testimony with others and to share the wonderful gospel that I have in my life. I have been blessed with so much and I can't wait to share it.
I had gotten my answer and had accepted it but I figured that it wouldn't be until summer until I started my papers but I spoke to my bishop and he told me to make an appointment with him for the next week to get things started.
I was crazy nervous!
I met with him and he said that I can turn in my papers April 20th, but that we should start them now because I am away at school and will be doing my papers with him. He talked to my home bishop and we got everything squared away. I have started my papers!!
Also another important/exciting thing: We have been waiting for me to take my endownments out for us to do Lindsay's temple work. Well I will be able to go through the temple as soon as I have my mission call. I thought it would be cool to get her temple work done on her birthday which is the 18th of April. We have permission from my bishop and most likely my stake president for me to take my endownments on the 18th of April! I'm so excited. It will be a really special day!

I'm so excited for this and for what lies ahead.
Life is beautiful!

Weekend!

I love weekend. My friend John came up for the weekend and we had a blast. Saturday night we went out with our friends Liam and Sierra to dinner and ice cream. Then after we went bowling with my roommate and her boyfriend. That was fun. We decided to see which couple could beat the other one. The first game we lost by five points because of the dumb fouls. We were crossing the line but i seemed to get a foul everytime. The second game we won by 1. It was great fun. After we watched Batman begins, i still don't consider that I have seen it, i think i slept through most of it. haha. The next day after church we played games with Liam and Sierra all day. We are all really into game and had a lot of fun together.

The next day was Martin Luther King Jr. Day and so we all had the day off of school. Mom and the boys came up and we went skiing at Beaver.  It was great to ski again. The slopes were icy and the snow wasn't the greatest, and it was windy but over all we had a great time.

2011 Baby!

I am so EXCITED for this new year! It is going to be a great one! I don't know what is in store for me but i can't wait to see what it is. I don't have a clue where I will be 6 months from now or even a year from now. I'm excited to see where it leads.
Life is great, yet it may be a bit cold at times, but it is beautiful!
I am so blessed:

  • To be surrounded by my family, great friends and good roommates.
  • To be going to college and to be pursuing a career that I am excited for and to be able to take classes.
  • To have friends. I have the best ones around! I promise, challenge me if you don't believe me.
  • To have a job that I love.
So again I'm so excited for Life this year,  who knows what lies ahead. Mission? Dating? School? BYU Spring semester? Playing? Traveling?
Life :)

Parker's Baptism

This past Saturday, my youngest brother was baptized. I'm so proud of him. He is the baby and this was a big milestone for our family. He was so excited to finally become a member of the Church. He got a new suit and his own pair of scriptures.
I'm so proud of him. He is so tender hearted, and always wanting to choose the right. He always is reminding us of what is really important.

Next thing you know he will be going on a mission and getting married!

Happy New Year!

I had a great new year! A bunch of Singles ward/high school friends all got together to play games at the Jesse's. We started out playing scum, with two different tables it was great. I was queen for most of the night. It was great!!
We Also played our new passion. Settlers of Catan. We decided to teach a new group of people. Probably not the smartest idea, its a long complex game.
We got so into playing that we almost missed the new year. We had to set an alarm to remind us to say "Happy New Year" then we continued on to our game. Ha, we are great!

I'm sad I didn't get more pictures. I had a lot of fun with some of my greatest friends.
